Transactional analysis

Psychoanalytic psychotherapy

What it is

Transactional analysis offers a plain vocabulary for what happens between people — the roles we fall into, the scripts we learned early, and the exchanges that leave us feeling small or stuck.

It is a practical approach and its concepts are meant to be shared, so you are likely to end up using the same language as your therapist to describe what is going on. It is used with individuals, couples and groups.

Practitioners working this way

One practitioner records psychoanalytic psychotherapy as their primary approach. The list covers both our practices — the practice is named under each name, and Pimlico profiles open on the Pimlico site. Pimlico’s records have not been scanned yet, so the Pimlico row is an example of the treatment rather than a real listing.
