About Me

Do you struggle with anxiety, low mood, work stress, or self-esteem? Are you facing challenging life events and issues with relationships that leave you feeling out of control? Do you worry about people judging you? Or perhaps you have decided that it is time to find support in managing difficult feelings or changing unhelpful patterns of behaviour that have a negative impact on your day-to-day life. Whatever problems you face, therapy can improve your quality of life.
I work with a broad range of difficulties, including ADHD, anxiety, burnout, loss and bereavement, childhood abuse and neglect, depression, eating disorders (binge-eating disorder/emotional eaters and bulimia), health anxiety, interpersonal difficulties, life transitions, loneliness, low self-esteem and self-worth, social anxiety, stress and work-related stress, trauma and cultural issues.
I am particularly passionate about working with cultural issues due to being raised in a multi-cultural environment and my experience of having lived and worked in several countries. This has uniquely shaped my perspective and made me particularly attuned to the challenges faced by individuals with a cultural, ethnic and minority background. Over the years I have worked with many nationalities and foreigners and this has further deepened my understanding and sensitivity to the issues they encounter in their lives.

HOW I WORK
I offer a safe, warm and non-judgemental therapy space where we can explore, in confidence, any difficulties you are currently facing. My work approach is integrative and I draw from a wide range of therapy modalities which include Attachment Theory, Psychodynamic, Existential, Person-Centred, Body Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based approach, and Mindfulness.
My purpose is to tailor the therapy to your individual requirements which will allow us to initiate positive change and give you the tools for personal growth and happiness. Together, we will explore your earliest relationships and experiences so that we can make sense of what stops you from living life to the full. I particularly like to use EFT techniques to empower you to become aware of your emotions, understand them and show you ways to regulate them, express them, and compassionately accept them. The goal is to transform your emotional experience, your relationship with yourself and with others so that you can live a more rewarding and meaningful life.

I offer a free 20 minutes telephone call where you can ask me questions about the therapy process, how I work and share your reasons for seeking therapy. If you then would like to pursue therapy with me we can book an initial consultation session. When we decide to work together, we will meet at the same time for 50 minutes each week. Your treatment time for either short-term or open-ended therapy depends on your specific needs and requirements. This will be discussed in our initial consultation session.
I offer therapy in English and German and I speak intermediate-level French and Spanish.
