About Me

Life in a city can be exciting as well as daunting, making it easy to feel overwhelmed or alone and at loss of where to start. In times of uncertainty it can help talking to someone. Therapy can make things a little bit easier. Maybe you are going through a rough time at the moment or you might have thought of therapy for some time? Now might be a good time to start. I have some availability for sessions in person and I also do therapy online for those who prefer.

What once started out as helping people from the Swedish community to feel settled and adjusted in their move to the UK, has now expanded to providing safe, confidential psychotherapy and counselling on a wide range of difficulties for all nationalities from different backgrounds. I have been a highly qualified psychotherapist for 20 years. I am experienced in working with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement, loss, work related issues, relationships and family problems.

My approach to psychotherapy and counselling is psychodynamic, drawing from the unconscious processes of the psyche along with looking at how patterns from relationships in the past might influence the way we feel and act in the present. Many factors from our varying experiences as children can form how we choose to deal with challenges and situations we are faced with as adults. My aim is to help you reaching your full potential through increased self-awareness and clarity.

Together, we will explore and make sense of thoughts and feelings that have occurred throughout different periods of life. With our interpretation of these, many links can be made to piece together an understanding of particular issues you have encountered or are currently facing. With an enhanced understanding, the way forward will be made easier. You are in a better position to make closer and more authentic relationships with others, whilst increasing your self-esteem and general life satisfaction as a result. I can help you through loss as well as finding a way forward. You will not be told what to do or how to act, but I will effectively guide you in making your own choices.

I work with individuals and young adults, providing both open-ended and short-term therapy. I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation to see how I can best be of help. If you are interested in starting therapy, please contact me and we can schedule a phone call. As an accredited BACP member I am committed to providing counselling and therapy in a non-judgemental and confidential environment. I also provide supervision to other counsellors and trainees. There is more information about me on my website but if you have any other question please feel free to contact me.
