BACP Registered Counsellor

About Me

My role as a counsellor is to provide a safe, accepting, and confidential space to collaboratively explore and untangle the threads of your difficulties. Through meeting at regular periods to slow down, talk and listen, clients often experience changes in their well-being, clarity of thought and cultivate a compassionate way of being with their struggles.
I know from my own experience of therapy that it takes a lot of courage to take that first step. I will do my best to make you feel settled and be someone you can trust.

Having moved around between the East and the West, I value working with people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds and understand the struggles of adapting to a new culture. I am a bilingual professionally qualified and experienced counsellor, offering sessions in English and Arabic. I have worked with people experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bereavement, sexual abuse, domestic violence, family issues, relationship issues, life transitions. As well as working in private practice, I have since 2015 worked as a counsellor for low-cost charitable counselling and psychotherapy services in Edgware and Ealing, as well as in an elementary school in Greenford.
At the heart of my practice is the work of Carl Rogers which assumes that we each are the best authority of our experience.
