About Me

I am an accredited psychodynamic psychotherapist working with children, adolescents and young adults having over twenty years of experience in the fields of child and adolescent psychology and education. I have experience holding senior roles in schools, leading mental health initiatives and providing consultancy to leadership teams on relational practice, educational psychology and neurodiversity.

I now offer a specialist practice for children, adolescents and young adults, offering weekly one-to-one psychotherapy on an open ended basis either face to face in Kensington or online. The therapeutic alliance lies at the heart of my practice, creating a nurturing and containing space which feels safe and accepting of you, just as you are. Together we explore and come to understand your inner world and identify behavioural patterns which might be holding you back from your potential,  desires and authenticity.

I am a long standing strong advocate of psychodynamic psychotherapy, recognising that silence is the perfect habitat for anxiety to grow. Within the psychodynamic model we are curious about the unconscious mind and our early experiences and the profound impact they have on our lives. Additionally I work with psychosomatic presentation, exploring where anxious or depressive thoughts may be expressed in the body (soma) offering strategies to support the regulation of a dysregulated nervous system. When we begin to notice our own patterns and understand the purpose our defences once served we begin the healing process, becoming more grounded in awareness of ourselves and accepting that uncertainty does not have to mean danger.

My ongoing supervision and training as a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist allows me to maintain high professional standards and adhere to the BACP Ethical Code of Practice.

Please contact me by email if you have any questions. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to help us ensure that this therapeutic modality is suitable for you or your child.
