For some, starting a therapeutic journey is about changing the cycles and patterns in their life, for others it’s about processing specific events or experiences that are having a big impact on their lives, some may want make a deeper connection with their authentic selves and yet for others it might be about breaking generational trauma cycles. Any of these processes, and a great many others, can be a daunting and overwhelming, but having the right support can help you work through whatever challenges you face.
As an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, I will meet you where you are, responding to your individuality with compassion and empathy and without judgement. We will work together to build an honest and trusting relationship where we can explore difficult feelings safely and be curious about you and your life. Together, we will work towards your goals, whether that’s to address anxiety, depression, anger, low confidence, intrusive thoughts, loss, relationship issues, racial trauma or any other concerns you might bring into the therapeutic space. Additionally, I welcome people from all backgrounds, including all members of the LGBTQ+ community and those from diverse racial, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
With the relationship at the heart of the therapeutic work, it is essential that you feel comfortable and at ease with me, that our energies work well together. As a starting point, I invite you to reach out to me for a brief phone consultation and from there we can book an initial session to see how we might work together. If we choose to begin therapeutic work, we will meet at the same time each week for anywhere from brief counselling of 8 weeks to longer open-ended therapy, depending on your needs and goals. Working collaboratively, you and I will start to untangle your mixed emotions.
