You may be seeking therapy because of a recent issue or you may want to make sense of longer term patterns; I offer a non-judgemental, confidential space where you can work through these difficulties in order to understand yourself better.
I am an experienced psychotherapist with over 5 years of training fromThe Minster Centre. I have worked in several low cost institutions. Some of the issues I have worked with are: anxiety, depression, class difference, racial trauma, juggling more than one culture, belonging, parent-child relationship difficulties, childhood trauma, adult relationships, work anxiety, understanding own behavioural patterns, bereavement, loss.
I see adults of all ages including young adults.
My Approach
Sessions are structured to talk about what is in the foreground for you. My training is Integrative, which means I draw on a number of theories depending on your needs. We work with what is present in the here and now, but we can also look at how your childhood may have impacted you. We can address the impact of societal and cultural pressures, how ‘being different’ may have affected you, or the impact of specific traumatic events. My aim is to be alongside and to help you access what has been pushed away, to allow you to recognise what changes you want to make so that life feels more fulfilling and meaningful.
It can be difficult to decide which therapist to go with, so please feel free to call me and we can have a chat about how we might work together.
