About Me

Jodie has been qualified in counselling and psychotherapy since 2007. She thoroughly enjoys her work but is incredibly passionate about working with people with eating disorders, trauma, attachment disorders although will work with a wide range of presenting issues. She has worked as a therapist both in the UK and overseas at various well known treatment facilities. In her early career she had senior roles in running addictions programmes for offenders, working in rehabilitations, psychiatric hospitals, eating disorders services and running services for people with learning disabilities and neurodiversities. Now days Jodie runs a busy private practice and consults for Start2Stop running their weekly aftercare eating disorders group.

Jodie is a Integrative therapist who has extensive training in most areas of therapy but particularly utilises EMDR and AF-EMDR, CBT and DBT with a person centred and attached focused approach.

Training and Qualification

Dip Couns, MBACP (accred), FDAP (accred), NCAC, BACP Registered Independent Counsellor / Psychotherapist and EMDR level 4 therapist
