About Me

Are you faced with a difficult decision where none of the options seems perfect? Are you struggling with knowing what to do for the best? Perhaps you are feeling shame or guilt for a decision you made in the past or something is holding you back from living a happy and content life, being your authentic self. Do you find it hard to stop thinking negatively?
Are you feeling disconnected or lonely or finding it hard to come to terms with a big change. Have you suffered a loss that has left you with an emptiness?

These are all situations that many people face as they go through life and therapy can help with gaining a clear picture of where you are and help you explore the way forward that’s right for you.

Effective ‘Person Centred’ therapy relies on a relationship based on confidentiality, understanding, trust and honesty. The therapeutic space is often the only place an individual can really express how they are feeling and what they are thinking, when you trust that you are not being judged in any way and can open up, you will find that the way forward opens within you. The therapist does not diagnose or fix, but works with you for you to have those aha! moments where things become clear.

The Person Centred approach to therapy is based on an empathic relationship, where the therapist seeks to ‘walk in your shoes’ to really understand what it is to be you and to have got to where you are through all the things you’ve been through. My method also involves a Pluralistic perspective which means I recognise that there are many other things available to you that can help you feel good and help you make the changes required to move forward. We can explore those together.

The most common phrase I have heard from my clients to date is ‘You’re so real’, I believe this reflects how I am within the session, I do not pretend to be anything I’m not, I’m a real person and I hope this helps us to form an authentic and helpful connection.

If you would like to take a small step towards finding out if Person Centred therapy could benefit you then we can have a free 30 minute phone conversation, please email to arrange a time that would suit you.
