Emma Hanley

BACP Registered Counsellor & Psychotherapist

About Me

Counselling is a process of self-discovery. I practice compassion and empathy to help you gain insight and develop coping skills and resources for what fits your future, not your past. I have worked with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, loss and bereavement, domestic violence, trauma, abuse, low self-esteem, unsatisfying and destructive relationships and other emotional and mental distress.

My relationship with clients is the key to therapy. I use a combination of different therapeutic theories adapted to your unique needs. Working together, I can offer you a safe, understanding space with the opportunity to explore brief focused issues or longer-term work on deeper issues.

I am a qualified Integrative therapist registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work with adults, adolescents and elders and also provide telephone and online counselling.

I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation in which we can discuss your reasons for coming to counselling, I can advise on rates and availability and answer any initial questions you may have. If you would like to, we can then arrange our first session to help establish if it feels a good fit for you and to discuss what you hope to achieve from our work together.

Do get in touch to find out more about how we can work together.
